You have been identified as someone who applied for temporary work through the staffing agency BaronHR, LLC (“BaronHR”) or one of its affiliates, including Titan Personnel, Hunter Staffing, or Legendary Staffing. On September 13, 2022, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission ("EEOC") filed a lawsuit against BaronHR in federal court (Case No. 2:22-cv-06517-GW-RAO) alleging that BaronHR unlawfully refused to recruit, refer and hire a class of individuals based on their race, national origin, and sex in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act (“Title VII”) and refusing to recruit and refer qualified applicants based on disability, in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”). The EEOC is a federal agency that enforces employment anti-discrimination laws on behalf of workers.
On April 8, 2024, a Consent Decree was approved by the United States District Court for the Central District of California which established a settlement fund of $2.2 million to be distributed to a class of applicants to BaronHR whom BaronHR did not refer or assign for temporary work after May 1, 2015. The Consent Decree prohibits BaronHR from recruiting and referring individuals for work based on race, national origin, sex, and disability in the future.
